Roles and Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY: -

To maintain the regular flow of production by purchasing materials of right quality and quantity at a lower price to help the organization attain its objectives.


REPORTING: -

Reports to GM-Purchase


ESSENTIAL DUTIES: -

  • Develop genuine and preferably proximate and alternative subcontractors by evaluating them.
  • Procure the materials and / or services to meet the requirements of customer departments on time or maintain the stock at desired levels.
  • Monitoring the deliveries and their quality and in case of any non-conformity, seeking corrective and / or preventive actions.
  • Improve and stabilize the quality and the deliveries of materials and / or services from subcontractors / Suppliers.
  • Obtaining the required information on the antecedents of subcontractors, organizing the records on them and arranging for the timely payments and legitimate requirements.
  • Develop and establish very good professional and ethical relationship with subcontractors / suppliers
  • Organizing Civil Works, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting, Engineering & Fabrication, Building Materials, Furniture and Other Spares.
  • Responsible for empowering people by giving required training
  • Responsible to adhere to the HSE policies of the company.
  • Responsible to adhere to the Company Policies and Procedures
  • Responsible for participating in the training and upskilling activities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: -

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Pref Mechanical/Production)


EXPERIENCE:-

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience with the Purchase department in the Manufacturing Industry.
  • Material Planning, Supply Chain, Basic awareness of statutory requirements
  • Should be able to work in Cross Functional team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / ERP
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Intense focus on providing support to internal and external customers in a timely manner.
